Activity 2: The secretive stink
On your blog list three pros (good things) and three cons (bad things) about working as a DOC ranger. At the bottom of your post, tell us whether you would like to be a DOC Ranger or not.
PROS
- You get to see awesome wildlife
- Protect wildlife
- Destroy the cats
CONS
- If you are real attached to the animal and have to let it go it would be quite emotional.
- You see dead/injured wildlife
- You see the different species of wildlife numbers go down.
I would like to be a DOC ranger. I think it would be good for me and I love animals so it would be amazing.
Activity 3: The WWF: World Wildlife Fund
Once you have watched the video, go to your blog and, using full sentences, tell us:
1) The name of the animal the WWF is working to save.
1) The name of the animal the WWF is working to save.
2) What the WWF is doing to help the animal.
3) What, if any, success they have had protecting the animal.
They have had a massive success because at first they had 360 individual seals now there are 1000. I am really glad that the number of that species are growing.
Hi Guys. It has been a great day today and I am really excited for tomorrow. GOOD LUCK!!
Hi Bella

Good job
Rikesh
Kia Ora Rikesh,
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my blog. I really appreciate the feed back and would love it if I got some more advice. I am very excited to see your activities for today.
Thanks again!
Bella
Hello Bella!
ReplyDeleteYou have done a wonderful job at day 3's activities, ka pai. I absolutely LOVE that you included a poem about your monster, that is so creative and the descriptive words you used were great! Your monster is quite old in monster years. She must have a lot of birthdays in a normal human year!
Your response to the DOC Ranger activity was very interesting. I can tell you really thought about the pros and cons of the job, well done Bella. I also think it could be a hard job to have to see animals injured. Do you have any animals at home? I have a dog called Tess and two cats called Oscar and Cole.
I'm really glad that the number of Saimaa Ringed Seals are growing too. It's incredible the work that the WWF is doing to help save them.
Keep up the great work Bella! I look forward to seeing your Day 4's activities tomorrow.
Nga mihi, Georgia.
Kia Ora Georgia,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for checking out my blog. I use to have 7 animal because I use to have 6 chicken ( Mayla, Kiwi, Watea, Willow, Carrots, Parsnip) and a rabbit called Snowy. But now I only have Snowy because dad had to give away the chickens.
Thanks again
Bella
Wow! That is an impressive amount of animals! I'm sorry to hear that your Dad had to give away your chickens, they all had very cool and funny names! My favourite was Carrots. What kind of dog is Snowy?
DeleteHi again Georgia,
DeleteOur animals do have very funky names. And you know whats funny they all suit that name. So Carrots is a very orange colour. Snowy is a rabbit and her breed is a White Veinna Rabbit. I had to just research that now. What kind of breed is your dog Tess?
Kia Ora Bella,
ReplyDeleteYour acrostic poem to describe your beast is very creative! The words you used to describe were amazing!
