Kia Ora bloggers, this week at Paihia School we had a special olympian called Rebecca Brothers! Rebecca came to Paihia School because she wanted to inspire us to become an olympian. It was an awesome moment because if you did not know, Rebecca Brothers is an Olympic Swimmer. She has won 114 gold medals which was really cool for the younger kids to see. Did you know that she broke her tailbone while snowboarding? I loved that experience and I hope I get to see another olympian. Her message was never give up and believe in your dreams. My favorite was when I heard that she lived near us so we might be able to see her around town.
